Addition: The motion about the events probably needs to read that "The guild has given the contact person consent to accept on the guild's behalf February Heritage Days at Piccadilly Mall and the three events at Haney Museum in June, July and August." There was some discussion about separating the Andover and Pioneer lodge events as a separate item.
The File for the Christmas Sale is complete and the Guild needs someone who will look after this for next year. Please consider and we will talk about it on the Februry Meeting.
The soup and bun money $150.00 went to the Seniors Centre, not us. their kitchen and ingredients.Addition:
In the February Meeting, we need to form a Committee to look at the Spinning Classes for the Fair. Do we need to make some changes, and what should they be? please think about this and i will remind everyone in Jan to come to the meeting with some ideas. As the Fair Book requires the info before the end of March, we need to have our info ready and also someone who will look after this. please condsider taking this on.
During our Meeting, Claludette Cote, who is part of the Grandmothers here, brought some Yarn from PEI that is no longer available to see if we were interested in purchasing it for a donation towards the Foundation. There were ten skeins and it was decided to purchase them for $100.00. The Grandmothers are part of the Stephen Lewis Foundation that raises funds for Aids and HIV children. The African Grandmothers often raise orphaned children, and this is where the funds will be directed. The motion was made by Noelle as a donation and not a value on the wool. It was seconded by Glenda, all in favor. For more information you can look up the Foundation.
